Every Wednesday night we have dinner at the church (cost $3) and then go to youth worship. We sing praise songs, receive a challenging message, and spend time together with a bunch of lights and music going!  Sounds great right?  Everything ends by 7:30pm (althought quite a few of our students find it hard to leave. They're have SO much fun!).  Anyone and everyone is invited to experience our youth worship service.

IMPORTANT DETAILS: (please read carefully)

1. Dress Code. We don't want anything to distract us from God's work! Please, no spaghetti straps; no short shorts or skirts; no clothing that would be a distraction for anyone at any time - this goes for guys & gals. Some worksites will want everyone to wear pants and a t-shirt - trust us on this - bring some in case. Tennis shoes or work boots are REQUIRED for the work sites.
2. You will sleep on the floor of a classroom. The floor is hard, so please plan accordingly. Bring sleeping bags and air/foam mattresses so that you'll sleep well! You will be grouped in an area with others from your church.
3. We will take showers in school facilities. They will be clean and may have curtains - don't worry! Boys desiring a bit of modesty may want to bring swim-shorts. You will be traveling to the schools during shower runs each afternoon, so be sure to bring a bag to carry your shower stuff and a change of clothes.

1. Please DO NOT BRING any electrical devices, especially CELL PHONES. ROL is a special time set-apart from our normal world for spiritual renewal and is a cell-phone free event! We ask you to leave them and any other distracting devices at home. If you forget and bring them, we will put them away for you. If you need to call home to check in with your parents, just ask your youth leaders. They will have their cell phones for such situations. We understand how difficult this request is - but we trust that you will be able to put the good of the group over your own comforts.
2. You are going to be working with students from other churches! Be excited about that because it means you're about to have a new bunch of friends. You will always be put with at least one other person from your church, so don't worry! Even now, begin praying for these people that you don't know and for the work site family you will serve. God digs that!
3. The tools on the "what to bring" list above may be used by you or someone else. If you would like to donate them to the ROL tool corral, then don't worry about marking them, and thank you for the donation! If you need to bring them back home with you, be sure to mark them well. (The more quality paint brushes you bring the better!)
